Time for the annual Cumbrae saunter , and once again we had a decent day with some nice sunshine. The only new thing to report is the possibility of closure of the University Marine Station at Millport. For a country that has such a reliance on the sea and coast for her wealth, energy, food and tourism even thinking about closure is folly of the highest order and something that only a desk-bound bean-counter would consider. Jazz and I urge you to join us in signing the petition 1.
The uncharitable amongst you are probably wondering how I managed to get Jazz to pose so beautifully outside the Marine Station. Obviously it is years of training, and the three dog treats you can see on the top of the wall.
- Clearly Jazz could only leave a paw-print, but the thought it there. ↩
